Your presence at our wedding is truly the best gift, but if you’d like to contribute in another way, we’d love your help in making our dream honeymoon a reality!
When we visited Lake Como in 2022 with Hannah’s family, we fell in love with the area and knew we had to come back one day for our honeymoon. Now, three years later, we’re making that dream come true—because life is too short not to! One week after the wedding, we’re heading back to this magical place to celebrate the start of our next chapter.
Our honeymoon fund will help us experience everything we’ve been dreaming about: dinner at the iconic Grand Hotel Tremezzo, wine tastings in Bellagio, a sunset boat tour, and more. And of course, it will support Brandon’s personal mission to find and rank every quattro formaggi pizza in Italy.
If you’d like to contribute, we’d be forever grateful—but most of all, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Join us for a proper Western Welcome at The 217 Wine Bar at the Stanley Hotel. Light bites will be served, and we’ll have a bar tab going to get the evening started—come early, raise a glass, and help us kick off the weekend!
Wedding day hosted on the beautiful grounds of the Stanley Hotel
Skip the goodbyes on wedding night and join us for a picnic at Lake Estes for farewell toasts. We’ve reserved two pavilions right next to the Lake Estes Playground—just use “Lake Estes Playground” for directions and you’ll find us there! There’s plenty of space for the kids to play and the dogs to run around. Parking is available nearby for $5 if needed.
We’ll also have two pontoon boats ready to cruise the lake from 2–4 PM. If you'd like to hop aboard, there’ll be a sign-up sheet at the picnic. No need to bring anything—food, drinks, and the boat ride are all on us!
Lake Estes Playground: 1700 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park, CO 80517
Cocktail attire with a touch of Western Colorado flair! We’ll be on the covered patio for golden hour views over the mountains, so bring a jacket—it cools off when the sun dips.
Dress for a romantic, Italian-inspired garden party. Our wedding party will be in black, and we’d love for guests to lean into earthy neutrals and soft tones to complement the setting. We’re in the Rockies, so bring layers, a warm coat, and a rain jacket just in case.
Welcome Drinks at The 217 Wine Bar at the Stanley Hotel
Wedding day! We’ll say “I do” on The Lawn in the iconic Stanley Hotel gardens (weather permitting—otherwise we’ll head inside the Pavilion), then keep the celebration going there until 11pm. For the night owls, late-night shuttles will head to a local dive bar so the party doesn’t have to end.
Picnic soirée at Lake Estes
No swimsuits needed—Lake Estes isn’t for swimming. Think easygoing picnic style: maxi dresses, jean shorts, and whatever feels good for lounging, lake activities, and soaking up the sun. We’ll head into town for dinner afterward, so dress comfy but cute!
The photographer will typically take formal family portraits. It's important to create a shot list beforehand to ensure that all the necessary family members are included.
I put together a Pinterest board and invite you to collab. This includes all the inspiration for your wedding photos so I nail it the first time.
During the reception, the photographer will capture shots of the decor, speeches, first dance, and other important moments.
If the couple is doing a formal exit, such as a sparkler send-off, the photographer will typically stick around to capture those final shots.
For those traveling from out of state, you'll fly into Denver International Airport (DIA). If you're planning to explore Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park while visiting, we recommend renting a car. From DIA to Estes Park, it is about a 1.5-hour drive. Parking is free if staying on the Stanley Campus. For those who prefer not to drive, there are several shuttle services available; you can book these at Estes Park Shuttle. Please be aware that Lyft and Uber services are rarely available in Estes, so planning your transportation in advance is crucial!
If your budget allows, we highly recommend staying on the Stanley Hotel Campus. The Stanley offers a range of options from historic suites to AirBnB-esque lodging, all within walking distance of our wedding events, which is perfect as there is limited Uber or Lyft in Estes Park. Estes Park has dozens of other hotels catering to various budgets, but we will not be offering shuttles, so please secure a DD beforehand! And for the adventurers, you're in the Rockies—camping options are everywhere!
Rocky Mountain National Park: Hiking lovers, this is for you. The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 12-minute drive from Estes Park! Don't miss our favorite hike, Emerald Lake, and the iconic Longs Peak while you're there!
Walk / Bike around Lake Estes: For those that want to stay on land, you can also rent e-bikes, and cruise around Lake Estes to take it all in.
Lake Estes 9-Hole Golf Course: For our golf enthusiasts, Estes Park offers both a 9-hole and an 18-hole course for your enjoyment.
Estes Park Aerial Tram: For stunning panoramic views, head up the mountain—it's a breathtaking vantage point where you can see it all. Fair warning for those with a fear of heights, it's quite the elevation!
Explore downtown Estes Park: Downtown Estes Park is filled with charming boutiques and gift shops, making it the perfect spot to stroll and pick up souvenirs from your trip. You'll also find a wide variety of restaurants and bars to enjoy along the way.
Historic tour and Magic Show at The Stanley Hotel: Book a historic Stanley Hotel tour or catch the world-renowned magic show onsite. We've experienced the magic show ourselves and can confirm it's a must-see!
Boat or Fish at Lake Estes Marina: Rent pontoon boats to cruise Lake Estes and soak in the scenic views, or enjoy fishing from the lake's edge. There are also several picnic shelters available for a relaxing day out.
Brandon and I swiped right into each other’s lives in December 2019, just weeks after he moved to Denver from San Francisco. Having moved to Denver myself in 2015, I felt like I had finally met the man I had been waiting for. We became inseparable almost instantly. When the pandemic hit a few months later, moving in together felt like the right step. Those early months in quarantine deepened our bond significantly. We discovered how much we had in common, and it became clear that this was much more than a fling—it was forever.
I officially became Bonsai’s step-mom, and we moved into our first downtown loft together. We hosted the best parties, rescued our second puppy, Lavender, and eventually moved into a home with a backyard for our furry children. Our adventures have taken us on road trips across the U.S., to the shores of Italy, and to a secluded beach cove in Portugal where Brandon proposed, surrounded by friends.
We followed our dreams of living in the Colorado mountains and recently bought our first house together in Aspen Park, Colorado. We’ve learned that we can make any place feel like home as long as we are together with our pups. We're thrilled to see what the future holds and can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you!
Please RSVP on our website above! You can also email "maygreenwedding@gmail.com" with any questions.
Dogs are welcome on the Stanley grounds during outdoor touring, but unfortunately, they won’t be allowed at the ceremony or reception. Feel free to bring them along for Lake Day if you’d like—they’re more than welcome there!
If budget allows, we highly suggest staying on the Stanley campus so you do not have to worry about a DD and can walk to and from the wedding activities. See above for more details on lodging options!
Absolutely! Please make sure the names of the kids attending and eating are listed in your RSVP so we can save them a seat!
